Crawl Space Dehumidifiers Alternative

Many people are conscious of the effect pollutants in the air can have on their health, but most people don’t realize how much of that pollution can be in the air inside of their homes. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, people spend about 90% of their time indoors, so the risk from indoor air pollutants is even higher than that of outdoor pollutants.
A place of air quality concern for many is the crawlspace inside their homes. Crawlspaces tend to be damp, which leads to structural damage, and it also creates musty odors that spread to other parts of the house. A common way to combat the air quality issues crawlspaces create is to use a dehumidifier in them. However, using a dehumidifier is not a good way to solve air quality problems.
Crawlspace dehumidifiers are a huge electrical cost, and they just circulate the same unhealthy air over and over. The Environmental Protection Agency recommends about 6-10 air exchanges for a healthy air environment. Essentially, it is important to find something low cost that will dry out a crawl space and create the recommended amount of air exchanges to create a healthier environment.
This is where WAVE Ventilation comes in. Our system decreases moisture, provides healthier air, is cost efficient, and does not require changing of filters or emptying of buckets of water like dehumidifiers. This is an easier alternative to crawl space dehumidifiers, and aside from convenience and cost efficiency, it is most importantly better for your health.
